The association was founded on 5 March 2026 in Paris.
Its president is Prof. Serge Bahuchet,
Its secretary is Romain Duda,
And its treasurer is Vincent Battesti.

 Purpose of the Association
The Society for Ethnoecology aims to support, promote, and develop ethnoecology, particularly through the publication and dissemination of scientific works. The association owns and publishes the journal Revue d’ethnoécologie, as well as any other publications it may decide to create or acquire. More broadly, it undertakes any action that contributes to the production, transmission, and valorisation of knowledge in this scientific field. Its duration is unlimited.
