Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies NYU (New York University)

Vincent Battesti

from Feb. 2012 to Jan. 2015

Position of Visiting Scholar for two semesters renewed for two more semesters, and then two more at the New York University, with the Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies, specialiszed, as the name suggests, on studies on the Near East region, and located on Washington Square in Manhattan, New York City.

I especially dedicate there my time to write a book on Siwa Oasis in Egypt, and to work on the issues of an anthropology of sound environments.
