This revolution was not expected, but we hoped it.
We did not understand that a country could live, could survive in fear for so long, the unrealistic situations can last:
Ben Ali has lasted too long, supported by democracies that we do not understand either.
The Tunisians have shed their blood, have taken their destiny in hand, have shown that men and women, even immured in a dictatorship, are able to cultivate the flame of free speech, of freedom need, of righteous indignation.
