As part of invitations to researchers whose field of expertise feeds into the ambition of the al-‘Ulā AS project to understand the social and ecological functioning of the oasis of al-‘Ulā, Joëlle-Brochier Puig is on the field in al-‘Ulā March 2022. This is a first mission before further ones scheduled to complete the collecting of the required data. Dr. Joëlle Brochier is a social geographer, specialized in the social management of water and irrigation, who lived many years of expatriation in the Arab world (Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon).
