L’entrée des Assises de l’ethnologie et de l’anthropologie en France (12-15 déc. 2007) sera libre et gratuite, mais nous demandons cependant à chacun de s’inscrire à ces journées (pour raisons techniques).
Ces Assises seront un lieu de débats sur notre discipline le plus ouvert possible, en particulier avec les doctorants, post-docs et hors-statuts qui forment un gros des troupes de la recherche: ces Assises seront ce que nous en ferons tous. Il n’est toujours pas trop tard pour intervenir dans les forums ou initier de nouvelles discussions sur le site.

Oasis: A Sustainable Tourism [Congress]

November 30, 2006 through December 2, 2006.
Oasis: A Sustainable Tourism will take place in Elche, Spain, from 30 November to 2 December, 2006.

Organized by the University of Alicante and the University of Elche with the support of Valencia’s Ministry of Culture, the congress aims to explore issues of sustainable tourism in an oasis environment.

Presenters will include representatives of UNESCO, ICOMOS, and the AKDN.

El Palmeral of Elche was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. Like many other oases, El Palmeral is a large tourist attraction. The congress will examine oases in Mexico, Morocco, Libya, and Niger, among others.
